Cometary

Entry for One Button Jam.

You (One-button Jan, they call you) are in control of a satellite in the planet's orbit. Your initial orders were just to move it a little to the left, but given that there is an oncoming storm of comets, it might be a good idea to try and knock some of them away from the planet's surface.

The only problem is, all you have is a single accelerate button. How long can you possibly protect the planet with that?
